The fifth season of Yellowstone has been split into two installments. It will consist of 14 episodes overall and will be the final season. The first half premiered on November 13, 2022 and concluded on January 1, 2023. The second half premiered on November 10, 2024 and it concluded on December 15, 2024.

Plot

Part 1

John Dutton is elected the next Governor of the state of Montana while his predecessor is heading to the Senate. With the position he is in, John is set to finally protect the Yellowstone. However, Market Equities is refusing to back down and calls in some reinforcement to finally crush the Duttons.

Part 2

John has been assassinated, leaving Beth and Kayce in complete disarray. Jamie's political future is facing serious uncertainty, on top of that, the people he once called his family have completely cut ties with him and Beth has her crosshairs fixed on him. Meanwhile, Rip has most of the Yellowstone crew working out of state at the 6666 Ranch in Texas.
