Walker is a cowboy and aspiring country singer, as well as a convicted felon. Because of that, Rip Wheeler chooses him as a suitable hired ranch hand for the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Before arriving at Yellowstone, he worked on the 6666 Ranch in Texas. Somewhere along the way, he got into trouble and he was incarcerated for 7 years in Montana for manslaughter.
Throughout the Series[]
After being released from prison, Rip hired him on the spot. After receiving the Brand, Walker began slacking off on the Ranch and refused to partake in some actions with the other Hands, as well as running his mouth off, frustrating Rip to the point where he wanted him dead. Walker never had his heart set on working or joining in on the fighting. After quitting, Kayce drove him out of state to a train station in Wyoming. He stopped at the Train Station and gave Walker a warning to never to set foot in Montana again, especially knowing that Rip would have killed him. He was later given a second chance after being discovered singing at a bar. He revealed that he needed to be in touch with his parole officer which was the reason for his return. When the hired hands of Yellowstone captured Wade Morrow and killed his son in the process, Rip gave Walker the ultimatum to remove Wade's brand or lose his. Walker went ahead and cut off Wade's brand. He then helped Lloyd dump the bodies in the Train Station, remembering the area Kayce stopped at, realizing he avoided that fate.
When Jimmy Hurdstram was sent with Travis to the Four Sixes for breaking his promise to John Dutton, Walker provided Jimmy some insight and advice about the Four Sixes, stating leaving that ranch was a decision he wished he never made, and advised Jimmy against returning to Yellowstone.
