Judge Mitchell Davis is a Federal judge in the state of Montana.
He was among many elected officials who owed John Dutton a favor, John called it in when he learned he was the judge preciding over the case against Summer Higgins. During the trial, despite Summer changing her plea from not guilty to guilty, Mitch made his distaste for her actions from past to present known and sentenced her to several decades in prison. John later confronted him, letting him know Charlotte Riley would appeal the sentence. Mitch wasn't one to listen to reason, but made it known he feared what Montana would become in the future he would leave for his grand kids. He even requested to give it a few days to make the appeal, for know one would believe a judge would change his mind in 24 hours.
