Mary Abel Dutton was the daughter of Claire Dutton.
Biography[]
She was one of seven siblings and the only one remaining. Mary Abel was raised to be a proper lady like her mother, Claire, and tends to get sny with her cousin, Elsa, over her non-lady like behavior. She had a tendency to believe that woman should behave accordingly and respectfully and should not be drinking coffee or telling lies. Even after her father died, she still continued to carry on her ideology of being a lady. She did join her mother who went along with her Uncle James on a caravan journey from Fort Worth, Texas to Oregon. Just as the journey was starting, Clide Barker and his gang rode into their camp, 'Asking for water', her mother scorned them and berated them to the point that a scuffle occurred and they started shooting people in the camp. Mary Abel was among the victims of that shooting.
