Robert 'Bob' Strafford was a rancher and neighbor to the Dutton Family during the roaring 20's. His daughter, Elizabeth, is betrothed to Jack Dutton. He worked alongside Jacob when getting the cattle to graze their part of the Valley. He even helped in the dispute with Banner and the sheepherders. After leaving Bozeman with his family and the Duttons, they were ambushed by the sheepherders and he was killed in the process.
