Plot

James Dutton has arrived in Fort Worth, Texas and awaits the rest of his family from Tennessee. He is given an opportunity from Pinkerton Agent Shea Brennan in helping him guide a caravan of immigrants from the valleys of Texas to the mountainous Northwest. The journey will be perilous and the travel will bend or break those who take the journey through the untamed West.
